If there ever was a visual image that comes to mind
or a persona that epitomizes the saying : 'Been there, done that' - it
has to be Irepan Chavez. Whether immersed in the myriad of a corporate
IT network designing new systems, exploring towns (big and small)
throughout Europe, writing Java applets, developing advanced system
applications or tramping the jungles of southern Mexico - this is your
guy.
Now married and the father of a daughter (a real
beauty by the way), Irepan has settled in at AIS (since 2000) as one
of our senior software engineers. In addition to the extensive
software engineering work Irepan performs at AIS, he is also AIS'
resident O/S, Network and Server Farm guru managing each.
Supporting the 'Been there, done that' mantra,
Irepan's engineering portfolio includes :
Visual C++, Borland C++, Clipper, Visual Basic,
Visual C# .NET,
Visual Fox Pro,
Omnis Studio, SQL Server, Oracle 7 thru 10g,
PL/SQL,
MS.net,
JDK , HTML, JavaScript & VBScript, PHP, ASP
and Swing API.
Of additional note, Irepan has endeared himself to
the AIS faithful (both internal and external) by engineering
Millennia's enormously powerful Contact Management and AddComm
architectures as well as now being our lead engineer on Millennia's
Trip interface (Itinerary, Crewing, Manifesting, Logistics etc...).
It has been stated in more than one conversation in the halls of AIS
that Irepan is just warming up with his best work still to come. If
that is so, fasten your seatbelts everyone, 'cause what an engineering
ride it will be...
